Only
in America would you have to educate the consumer on the benefits of
eating natural foods. Only in America do we throw the baby out with
the bath water, burn the village to save the village and boil the life
out of the milk to make it safe to drink. There are three vital life
saving reasons for consuming raw dairy products.
First: goat's milk
is truly nature's most perfect food source. It might get a little
boring but man can live by fresh non-pasteurized goat's milk alone.
Second: A renewable source of animal fats and the magic 8 essential amino acids
that the body cannot produce on its own. The 1978 book, "Diet For A Small Planet"
www.smallplanetinstitute.org
has
eggs, milk, dairy and meat as complete in all eight essential amino
acids. Only
in America do we prohibit the sale of fresh milk, cheese and butter,
while promoting the sale of nutrient less eggs and factory farmed,
corn fed beef, pork and chicken.
Third: Digestibility. We are what we
assimilate. Once we hit adulthood we eat to maintain our energy and
health. A healthy immune system is 70% dependent on the gastrointestinal
tract. Raw Eggs
95%, Raw Goat's Milk 90%, Raw Meat 85% are ranked one, two and
three according to Sally Fallon's Weston Price Foundation www.westonaprice.org
in terms of
nutrient availability. Goat's milk is the most digestible
dairy product because of its molecular size and similar composition to
Mother's milk. Any species of mammal including 'Flipper" the
Dolphin can be raised on goat's milk.
The reason Vegan
Vegitarians and Frutorians - are there Vegan Frutorians? - are skinny and
disgustingly healthy is because they eat the only real food left in the
store. Even Wal-Mart carries 'organic' fruits and vegetables enabling the
self-righteous to acquire their produce at the lowest cost. The Indian
continent chooses to be primarily vegetarian for religious reasons. The
100 million Moslem Indian population eats everything but pork while the Christian
minority licks the platter clean. Put representatives from each in a line-up and it is impossible to tell whom eats healthier.
In
Judeo-Christian America we always try to help God out with counter
productive regulations, mis-guided guidelines and government sponsored
solutions. We have done such a good job that no matter what your faith
over-the-counter real EGGS, MILK, CHEESE, BUTTER and MEAT do not exist
in your local grocery store.
National prohibition
of alcohol (1920-33)--the "noble experiment"--was undertaken to
reduce crime and corruption, solve social problems, reduce the tax burden
created by prisons and poorhouses, and improve health and hygiene in
America. The results of that experiment clearly indicate that it was a
miserable failure on all counts.
The Prohibition of Real
Milk, Cheese and Butter began around 1900 when Nathan Straus (1848-1931)
founder of Macy's dedicated some thirty years of his life to championing
the pasteurization of the milk supply in New York and other cities
throughout America and Europe.
Straus found an
important ally when his insistence on the dangers of raw milk led
President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907 to order a thorough study of the milk
problem by the Public Health Service. Twenty government
"experts" made the investigation and reported publicly in 1908
that raw milk posed a danger. They further stated as fact that
pasteurization does not change the chemical composition, taste,
digestibility or nutritive qualities of milk. These "facts" have
been repeated for nearly one hundred years and persist in government and
medical literature about raw milk to this day, despite overwhelming
evidence to the contrary. Excerpted from "The Untold Story of
Milk", by Ron Schmid, ND,
The prohibition
of whiskey was repealed in 1931. The prohibition of fresh, nutrient rich
raw dairy has not been repealed but it is crumbling. Thanks to Sally
Fallon's www.realmilk.com, Jordan
Rubin's, "Maker's Diet", www.Mercola.com
and others raw milk in various guises is legally available in 33
out of 50 states. Here in Texas www.AnalaGoatCompany.com
is one of twelve licensed Grade 'A' Raw Dairies.
But isn't raw milk dangerous??
No!
Carefully handled raw milk is a living food, with all the good germ
fighting bacteria intact. Pasteurized
anything, kills all the digestive enzymes, flattens the taste and degrades the
vitamins and minerals. Texas law
says we must sell our fresh milk only on our farm. The dairy inspector
, Vince Giordano, comes once a month to take samples to
Austin to maintain Grade 'A' Raw status. The Texas Department of
Health lab tests for pathogens,
bacteria, coloform and somatic cell count. All raw cow and goat dairies must
score lower in all four categories than pasteurized store bought milk.
Additionally once a year all livestock is tested for Brucellosis and
Tuberculosis.
The real reason you want to drink fresh, non-pasteurized
milk is to begin correcting five generations of
degeneration. Pasteurization, 145 degrees for 30 minutes neutralizes
the carrier (digestive) enzymes that help you digest the food product. Thus the
pancreas has to do all the work getting the remaining nutrients
digested.
The second generation
(1937) of God's little helpers invented homogenization, a process that bonds the cream and whey. The cosmetic
appearance of cream floating to the top in the milk bottle just didn't
look right.
Goat's milk molecules are one fifth the size of cow's milk
and therefore it doesn't separate. The end result of homogenization is
a scarring of the blood vessels followed by increased cholesterol
patches, followed by clogged arteries.
Fifth
generation food manufacturers, the world's
biggest form of industrialization, has come up with ultra-pasteurization.
This method heats the milk to 280 degrees, rendering it completely indigestible.
And for this convenience you get to pay over $12 a gallon.
We
have gone from 2000 calories a day in 1905 to at least 3500 in 2005. We are eating more, enjoying it more and it shows in
obesity and the increase in degenerative diseases. All because 50 to
70% of those 2000 calories of yesteryear were real. Real chicken, real
eggs, real pigs, real cows, real butter, real cheese and real milk.
Jack LeLane's famous admonition is "If man made it don't eat
it".
This generation
is breaking the cycle of ignorance much like "The Fourth"
quit smoking. Just like the caution label on cigarette packs, today
the Girl Scout cookies label proudly claims zero Trans fats. Try some raw goat's milk.
You'll like the taste and your hypothalamus, pancreas, gall bladder
and whole body will thank you. teg@analagoatcompany.com
